At the heart of Hope For The City is a simple but powerful mission: to transform lives and eliminate hunger in the Las Vegas Valley and beyond. Right now, one of our greatest needs is a dedicated space to store the donations our community entrusts to us throughout the year. We are raising funds to build a warehouse facility that will serve as the backbone of our outreach efforts, providing organized storage for school supplies and backpacks for our annual Back to School event, gifts and goods for our Christmas event, and temperature-controlled refrigerated and freezer space to keep food safe and ready for our local pantries. A permanent, purpose-built space means we can serve more families, more consistently, and with greater excellence. When you give to this project, you are not just funding a building. Thank you Legacy Team! Hope For The City Carport and Shade Structures has been fully funded!  Twice a week, faithful volunteers gather at our Henderson location to serve families in need through our food pantry. Rain, wind, and the intense Las Vegas heat do not stop the need, nor do they stop our volunteers. But we want to do better for the people who give so generously of their time, and for the food and supplies they work so hard to protect. We are raising funds to install permanent carport/shade structures in the parking lot at our Henderson location, creating a covered space where pantry pickups can take place safely and comfortably. These structures will shield our volunteers from the elements week after week, protect perishable food supplies from the heat, and create a more dignified and welcoming experience for every family we serve. This is a practical investment with a lasting impact, one that says to our volunteers and our neighbors alike that their well-being matters. The heart of Central’s leadership is committed to paying down our $22.5 million debt.  Imagine the amount of additional ministry that could happen, the lives that could be saved if our debt were eliminated. As Pastor Jud mentioned at our Legacy Dinner on March 26th, this is one of his top prayers, that one day this debt would be eliminated. Our prayer is that God will raise up some, or someone within our Legacy Ministry who would begin to pray about and consider giving above and beyond their regular giving and bringing this dream to life.
